This is the first of many more articles in the future.
It will show you step by step how to regain control of your computer windows.
Just follow my instructions and soon you will be using the computer for work or play again instead of spending hours trying to keep the run only. Best of all, I will not try to sell you something.
It will show you ways to do many things on your computer for free.
As is the case with most of the instructions, please read everything before doing anything.
Let's start with cleaning the house a bit.
Close all programs on your computer.
Click on the button "START" in the lower left corner, select the "Settings", then "Control Panel". Should be opened in a new window.
Double click on the "Add / Remove Programs." This will show you most of the programs installed on your computer.
Go through the list and if you find any that were installed, but no longer need or use, just from the United Nations and install them.
This free disk space. Some of the programs uninstall ask you to restart your computer.
When you are done go ahead and restart again.
Windows likes to restart.
Be careful not to uninstall programs that are still used, and also does not uninstall any updates to Windows. Basically, if you do not know what it is, do not touch it!
After a clean restart, and we will now make sure your computer has the latest updates installed. Click on "START", then on "Windows Update". If you do not have Windows Update in the Start menu, open Internet Explorer, and click on Tools, then Windows Update.
Follow the instructions on the Microsoft Update site and install all available updates for your computer's critical.
Restart when prompted. Also, select to check for updates automatically.
But does not specify to download and install automatically.
I always wanted to be asked before you download and install the updates! This could take a long time, and just let your computer is not something the matter.
You can do something else in the meantime.
Restart when you are done.
Now that is updated your computer, and also we did a little house cleaning, it's time to remove the part of the disk drive.
Windows are not very effective in where it puts stuff on the hard disk.
After a while it gets fragmented.
But Windows includes a tool to clean all that.
This should be done at least once a week if you use your computer on a daily basis. Double-click "My Computer" icon on the desktop.
Will open a new window and show you all the hard drives, CD-ROM CR and other storage devices connected to your computer.
In most cases will be labeled in the main hard disk "C:" drive.
If he has any other character, that's OK too.
On the right-click, and select "Properties." Another window will open. At the bottom to right click on the "Disk Cleanup", then select all the check boxes. If you have web pages without a connection, not determined.
If you do not know what it is, you probably have not used this feature, and can be determined. And click "OK" and "Yes" in the confirmation box.
Once this is cleaned up, click on the tab tool, and then on the "fragmentation now." In the new window, click again on the fragmentation, and allow the computer to defragment your hard drive. Depending on the size of your hard disk, and this can take several hours, especially if this is the first time you do it.
Just let it run until it is done.
Repeat these steps for all other drives you have on your computer.
That's all. Now you delete from the United Nations and the need for programs and Windows update and remove the hard drive fragmentation.
Restart the computer and your computer will run better and safer than ever before.
